Sure sign of an Angel Fire Spring: mountain flowers poking up out of the snow. And they're here. Take Angel Fire's Chile Express to get a head start on your next hike.

Purchase a chairlift ride on the Chile Express, from the base area of Angel Fire Resort. Ride to the top of the mountain for a spectacular view of Wheeler Peak, New Mexico's highest point. Hike the trails, see the fields of wild flowers, and explore at the 10,650 foot summit. A Eurobungy trampoline and climbing wall await you up top. If you're too tired after all that to hike back to the base, you can ride the chair down instead.

The Chile Express chairlift will start Memorial Day Weekend, then operate weekends from May 31 to June 29. From July 4 to September 1 it operates Friday through Monday, then resumes the weekend schedule from September 6 to 21.
