In its 59th season, this renowned combination of music academy and festival explores how music tells stories and what these musical stories tell us about who we are, and all amid the natural beauty of Aspen.

The Aspen Music Festival and School explores music that weaves together folklore, legends, mythology, and fairytales, creating an identity during this, its 59th season. Themed "Once Upon a Time ... " the festival and school features a number of musical collaborations, including co-programs with the noted Jazz Aspen Snowmass, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and the Aspen Institute among others. This season, piano virtuoso Emanuel Ax, violinists Joshua Bell and Sarah Chang, pianist Boris Berezovsky, and many others will be featured in a series of performances, from June 19 - August 17, for which the festival is known.
