The Big Sky Association for the Arts (406-995-2742) is a non-profit organization located in Big Sky, Montana, which offers "Music in the Mountains" at the Meadow Village Pavilion. Since 1988, the BSAA has provided musical and artistic performances throughout the year, funded solely by performance attendance fees, resort tax dollars and donations.
'Music in the Mountains' brings some of the world's finest entertainment to Big Sky each summer, where artists perform outdoors in the Meadow Village Pavilion. And this year, every Thursday night performance is free. Past performers include Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Del McCoury, John Hartford, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, David Grisman, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
This summer's acts include the Bozeman Symphony, Flowmotion, Spring Creek Bluegrass Band, and a Fourth of July Celebration featuring Montana's own Rob Quist. For more information and a complete list of dates and performers for this year's 'Music in the Mountains' visit www.bigskyarts.org
