Is mountain biking big at Mammoth? They have a trail here named Kamikaze. Figure it out.
The Kamikaze downhill mountain bike trail from the summit of Mammoth Mountain is a bone-rattling descent and has fallen out of favor for more technical routes among Mammoth's 80 miles of single track, but it's still a classic worth checking out.
Mammoth Mountain Bike Park opens June 21, with lower trails accessible via the Bike Park Shuttle. Guided tours, private lessons and two weekend-long camps: a women's camp and a freeride camp are available. The freeride camp will explore the newest additions to the Bike Park, several new expert trails and the Kamikaze Park. Bike rentals are available.
The bike park is open daily from 8am-6pm, and rates range from $10-$37.
