Music Comes To Mammoth

The Mammoth Lakes area, situated in a region of the east-central Sierra that embraces both the alpine and the high-desert zones, is surrounded by summertime diversions. Music is an integral part of life here.

The 20th Annual Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee (http://www.mammothjazz.org) takes place July 9 to 13, with "hot jazz in the cool Sierra." The All Jubilee badge includes admission to all Jazz Jubilee events and venues starting Wednesday, July 9, through Sunday, July 13, 2008. Mammoth's jazz fest is renowned for good times and great music.

The 13th Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza (http://www.mammothbluesbrewsfest.com) kicks off Aug. 1 for a two day run featuring the best blues acts and more than 50 microbreweries. The Blues BBQ will be on Friday along with the grand tasting and Bluesapalooza on Saturday.

On Aug. 15 the 13th Annual Mammoth Festival of Wine, Music, and Food (http://www.mammothmountain.com/mammoth_festival/index.cfm) celebrates the essential ingredients of life in a three day revelry. More details to come.
