Bikers Head To Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks is about 45 minutes from Kamloops and a little more than four hours from Vancouver. Things quiet down in summer but an active Mountain Biking park and other summer activities keep people coming.

You can watch from the lifts as they catch air off booter-style jumps, ride high on the bermed corners, and soak up the rolling whoop-de-doos. It's kind of like motocross riding on a mountain bike, with gravity as your engine. Rental shops in Sun Peaks offer dual-suspension bikes with all of the necessary helmets and protective gear for going as fast as you dare.

A paved bike path circumnavigates the Village and the Sun Peaks Golf Course for those looking for something a bit milder. This easy, flat trail is ideal for riding with your kids, too

The bike park is open 10am-5pm from June 28 to Sept. 1, and then Friday-Sunday from Sept. 2-28.
On every Saturday through Sept. 1 the bike park will operate for two extra hours until 7pm.

An adult full-day ticket is $38, and half day is $29.
A youth (age 13-18) full-day ticket is 31, and half day is $25.
Children's tickets are available for $21 for a full day and $17 for a half.

Season tickets are also available.
