On Foot Or By Llama, You Gotta See Taos

Taos_llama.JPG

Stand at the very top of New Mexico? The highest mountain in the State is Wheeler Peak, 13,161 feet, which hides in the range northeast of the Town of Taos. It's accessible from trails beginning at the Village of Taos Ski Valley. Start early and allow a full day to truly enjoy the experience. If you don't have that much time, try the Williams Lake Trail, a four mile hike from the Village.

Summer lift rides begin at Taos Ski Valley on June 26. For more information, visit http://www.skitaos.org

Take a trip with a llama. Customize your hike through the mountains around Taos. Let the gentle llamas do all of the work. They can carry the gear, or even the kids. Have a picnic on a half-day hike. Or head off on a customized expedition for a few days.
