The Pocono Mountains are alive with wildlife, and trails cover the entire region. The Appalachian Trail marks the southern border of the Poconos. Many other trail systems offer waterfalls, spectacular views, and concentrations of rare plants and animals. Most of the state lands allow motorized vehicles; state parks have motorized restrictions.
