This little resort town is ready to charm you. Take a walk into its past.

Billings Farm and Museum (802-457-2355), Route 12, Woodstock, is an historic working farm. Exhibits trace the evolution of the farm and adjacent Mt. Tom forest area into the present day.

The New England Maple Museum (802-483-9414), Route 7, Pittsford, features exhibits on maple sugaring, including "the most complete collection of sugaring artifacts in existence."

The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) (802-359-5000), Church Hill Road, Woodstock, is a 77-acre nature preserve with self-guided trails and naturalist's programs.

The Chaffee Center for the Visual Arts (802-775-0356), 16 South Main Street, Rutland, offers changing exhibits, lectures, cultural events, and tours. This year's scheduled exibits include the Annual Student Show, the Spring Members Show, the Alisa Dworsky Installation, and the Rutland Photography and Japanese Sister City Exhibit.
