The historic Sorensen's Resort is comprised of a clutch of vintage log cabins, b&b cottages, and contemporary mountain homes set in an idyllic alpine setting in the High Sierra's 7,000-foot-elevation Hope Valley. It's located 20 miles south of Lake Tahoe and a few miles east of Kirkwood on California State Route 88. That location gives summer visitors easy access to a host of fun summer activities.
Visitors to the resort will never wonder what to do next, from its children's catch-and-release trout pond and the excellent trout fishing available in the nearby West Fork of the Carson River to the labyrinth of hiking and mountain biking trails found in the national park lands and wilderness surrounding the resort.
