The Village at Mammoth is playing host to this year's edition of Oktoberfest at Mammoth, Saturday, Oct. 3. Revelers can expect a full program of authentic German music, dancing, a Budenstrasse, or Avenue of the Booths, serving up dishes of traditional German cuisine, with an official Bier Meister overseeing the festivities. The event also features a Kindergarten where kids can take part in a variety of fun activities and traditional German games. Organizers of the event are providing free taxi service all day for all - imbibers and teetotalers alike.
The Village at Mammoth is the perfect venue for an Oktoberfest celebration, with its European Alps-style architecture, and collection of shops, restaurants, pubs, and clubs.
Attending the Oktoberfest is the perfect time to take advantage of the Mix and Mingle at Mammoth package at the Westin Monache Resort, the most recent lodging addition to the Village. This package costs $239 per night for two, and includes lodging, one martini per person upon arrival at Whitebark Restaurant and a souvenir Westin-logoed martini shaker, one in-room movie per night, and one adult ticket per person for a scenic Gondola ride. Or sign up for the Westin's Indulge package, which includes lodging, champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries upon arrival, breakfast for two each day, and late checkout. Take your pick: beer, martinis, or champagne!
