The Echo Lake Inn began its life in 1840 as a summer hotel, and remains a year-round Vermont country inn. Its history includes frequent visits by President Calvin Coolidge, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and many other notable American figures.
The inn is minutes from Ludlow, Jackson Gore, Okemo, and the resort's golf courses. It has 23 rooms, some with private Jacuzzi and fireplace, and seven condo units, a swimming pool, tennis, and a dock on Echo Lake with canoes and row boats. Golf, hiking, biking and horseback riding all close at hand.
Two packages combine lodging and golf.
Echo Lake Inn's Gourmet Golf Getaway is a midweek offering for two, available Sunday through Thursday, for $199 per room, per night, double occupancy. It includes accommodations in a luxury room with king bed, two-person Jacuzzi, and fireplace, a four-course dinner, and gourmet breakfast.
The inn's Deluxe Golf Getaway is available midweek, for two, and includes a deluxe room with king or queen bed, four-course dinner, and full breakfast, for $169 per room, per night, double occupancy.
The inn also sweetens the deal with a fifth night free for guests who stay Sunday through Wednesday.
