Pocahontas County, W.Va., is one of the great natural attractions in the Mid Atlantic States. The mountainous county, with the highest average elevation of any county east of the Mississippi, has five state parks and two state forests. A drive along the Highland Scenic Highway, the highest average elevated highway east of the Mississippi, affords many panoramic views. It's a great place to visit and play.
