Perched nearly a mile high in the Alleghenies of West Virginia, summer temperatures rarely reach 80 degrees in Snowshoe. Unless they're making chili, that is.

Snowshoe Mountain turns up the heat for the 19th Annual Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-off July 9 - 10, 2010. Along with great live entertainment and fun and games, they have earmarked more than $10,000 in cash and prizes to award the top chili cooks. Friday they're serving up Green & Salsa and Saturday is the day for Red! Stay for live entertainment and a great After Chili Party when all the cooking and judging is done.
