Vail felt the economic downturn this winter with lower skier traffic and reduced overall spending by visitors. Rent Vail will be taking 25 percent off their prices for the summer to try and tempt customers to visit Vail. Staying in a vacation home for less than you imagined could be the ultimate summer escape.
Right now, RentVail has a Summer 2009 Special: Pay for six nights lodging, and receive the seventh night free. You can even find rentals for one to three months if you're thinking of spending most of your summer there. Once you've made Vail your summer place, chances are you won't leave when the snow falls so make sure you lock in your Epic Season Pass for next year. With the money you save this summer you'll be able to hop on the $599 deal. The pass grants you unrestricted and unlimited access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Arapahoe Basin. Plus, put $49 down by May 31 to lock in that price and you won't have to pay the rest until September.
The best ways to find long-term rentals are to comb through ads in The Vail Trail or The Vail Daily newspapers. Also, contact the property management/realty companies directly in Vail as many owners are currently hunting for the security of long-term over short-term after this sparse ski season. Start your search before September to find the best terms and rates.
Don't limit your choices to Vail central. Anywhere from East Vail through the West Vail corridor has reliable city transportation.
