We tested the women's Ahnu Sugarpine Boot during a dry, mellow four-mile hike near Grand Lake Colorado.

The lightweight high-tops slid on easily, which is not something I can normally say for a hiking boot or even shoe for that matter. Immediately, my feet felt supported in every direction, an attribute I especially appreciate having high arches, serious pronation, and at the time, a still swollen ankle sprain. That said, they’re not clunky or overly hard for support’s sake and remained comfy without a single adjustment throughout the duration of the trail.

After the dusty hike, the light grey boots (with perfectly popping blue and green accents) looked just like the new ones I’d pulled out of my trunk a couple hours earlier. I can’t wait to take this day hiker onto wetter/muddier trails to see what Ahnu’s water protection is all about.
